A city where the people are living quality and happy lives brought about by abundance and a healthy constitution— this is my vision for the People of Tacurong.
One of the means that we can achieve this is by ensuring that the Tacurongnons have jobs or are employed so that they may have a steady source of income to afford their basic needs. When people’s needs are met, they have less to worry about in their daily lives, thus, there is room for fun and leisure that in turn brings about bliss.
As such, it has been a mission of this city government to bring job opportunities closer to the people by the regular conduct of job fairs and other forms of recruitment activities. By bringing employers and jobseekers closer, we can hope for an outcome that leads to employment where both parties benefit.
However, our dedication to an employed populace of the city would not allow us to just be content with the usual employment programs and services. With the progress of technology, we know we had to adapt in order to stay competitive and most importantly, make recruitment easier and more convenient to the people. By means of digitalization of the recruitment process, the traditional employment activity can be improved by several notches.
Borne of this desire is the first ever in the region— the PESOJobs.ph. An online job portal sponsored by LGU Tacurong where it is easier for both employers and jobseekers to offer and receive opportunities for employment. With just a click, we can help Tacurongnons and other residents of the region potentially have better and happier lives.
For achieving such a daring endeavor, my deepest gratitude to the Public Employment Service Office for spearheading this digitalization initiative. Through your hardwork and meticulousness, you were able to help design and create this database that will truly impact the lives of our constituents and others. Let us continue working hard to achieve our mission and vision for our city and our people.
