On September 25, 2025, the Public Employment Service Office (PESO)-Tacurong conducted another session of Career Coaching with Grades 6 to 10 students of Tacurong St. Benedict Learning Center and Values School, Inc.
In coordination with Ma’am Salvacion Torreflores, the school’s Guidance Coordinator, and Ma’am Fe Flores, the School Principal, a total of 53 students participated in the activity, with Ms. Rhelyn May V. Obeja, the Focal Person on Career Development Support Program of PESO Tacurong, leading the discussion.
The activity aimed to provide students with valuable insights on the importance of career planning and awareness of labor market trends. What made the session more remarkable was the participation of Grade 6 students, who, at their young age, are already being introduced to the realities of the labor market and the evolving world of work. By learning about current employment opportunities and future career demands, the students are better equipped to make informed decisions about their academic and professional paths.
The career coaching activity underscores the importance of early preparation in shaping one’s future. Exposing students to labor market information at a young age helps them build a clearer vision of their desired career path, equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to navigate opportunities and challenges ahead.

PESO Tacurong successfully held another Career Coaching Session at Virginia F. Griño National High School, where 186 Grade 10 students actively participated. The event was made possible through the support of Ma’am Elizabeth Pascua, the Araling Panlipunan Department Head. The program was timely and relevant, as the students are currently taking Contemporary Issues and Economics lessons under their Araling Panlipunan subject. Discussions on the labor force and the labor market provided students with deeper insights into real-world trends that directly relate to their lessons. By connecting classroom learning with labor market realities, PESO Tacurong continues to help guide the youth in preparing for their future career paths.
