PESO managers and staff from the Province of Agusan del Sur recently conducted a benchmarking activity in Sultan Kudarat Province on December 11, 2024. As part of their visit, they also met with the City Government of Tacurong, focusing particularly on the operations of PESO Tacurong. The staff of PESO Tacurong, led by City PESO Manager Mr. Allan S. Freno, delivered an informative presentation on the operation of the city’s LGU-powered job portal, PESO Jobs PH. The participants were walked through the overview of the job portal down to its technical aspects and its special features, highlighting its benefits to employers, job seekers, and the PESO itself. Ms. Divina Lagumbay, PESO Manager of the Provincial Government of Agusan del Sur and Former Regional President of the PESO CARAGA Regional Federation, led the group of participants.

She raised inquiries about the portal’s functionality, its impact, and the significant changes it has brought to the employment landscape not only in the City of Tacurong and Sultan Kudarat Province but also in neighboring provinces, municipalities, and cities. Also present at the event was Ms. Mary Jane C. Hoksuan, Chief Labor and Employment Officer of the Department of Labor and Employment Sultan Kudarat Field Office, who delivered a brief message to the benchmarking participants. Mr. Jonix A. Paniagua, the PESO Manager of the Sultan Kudarat Provincial Government and the Former National President, of the PESO Managers Association of the Philippines, was also present and accompanied the participants. PESO Tacurong hopes that the establishment of PESO Jobs PH serves as an inspiration to other PESOs in the Mindanao Region and across the country. The initiative aims to contribute to improving the nationโ€™s employment landscape and addressing its challenges, especially in these changing times when technology and innovation are increasingly integrated into everyday transactions.
